Care Guidance

Our hats are crafted from natural materials and should be handled with care. Do not wash, soak, scrub, or submerge your hat in water. Avoid applying soap directly, rinsing under running water, or cleaning with harsh brushes. These actions may cause the natural dyes within the leather to shift and settle unevenly, resulting in darkening or discolouration in certain areas.

If your hat becomes wet, allow it to dry naturally at room temperature, away from direct sunlight or artificial heat. Do not hang a wet hat to dry, as moisture may collect unevenly and affect both the colour and the structure.

Bovine Suede Leather

Brushed bovine suede is selected for its soft texture and refined finish. To maintain its appearance, remove surface dust gently using a soft suede brush or a clean, dry cloth. Avoid excessive friction, moisture, and direct contact with liquids. If exposed to damp conditions, allow the hat to air dry naturally on a flat, even surface.

Waxed Bovine Leather

Waxed bovine leather is chosen for its durability and weather-resistant finish. To care for it, wipe lightly with a soft, slightly damp cloth to remove dust or marks. Allow the hat to dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid over-conditioning or exposing the material to prolonged moisture, as this may affect the finish and structure.

Breathable Mesh Components

Mesh crown sections are designed to promote airflow and comfort in warm conditions. Clean only when necessary using a soft cloth and minimal moisture. Do not saturate the mesh or apply harsh cleaning products. Allow the hat to dry fully before wearing or storing.

Chiffon & Interchangeable Bands

Decorative chiffon bands should be handled delicately. Where possible, remove the band before cleaning the hat body. Spot clean gently only when needed, and avoid twisting, wringing, or pulling the fabric. Store flat or loosely folded to help preserve its form.

For best results, we recommend using suede brushes and leather-specific care products suited to natural materials. The right care tools help maintain texture, preserve finish, and support the longevity of your hat without compromising its structure.

Storage

Store your hat on a flat, even surface with the brim supported. Avoid placing heavy objects on top, as this may distort the shape. Keep in a cool, dry environment away from prolonged sunlight. Do not leave your hat in enclosed hot spaces such as a car, as heat may cause shrinkage or structural change.
